A bit about my story: I am moving from California to Cleveland for work, and Joe was referred to me from a friend, someone who grew up in Cleveland. I have never been to Cleveland before this job. My situation was complicated by a non-negotiable early start date for my work, and I had a tight schedule (one month!) for finding a neighborhood to live in that would fit my needs, (i.e., I could feel safe walking my pooch in my neighborhood in the mornings/evenings). I flew to Cleveland only one time before the "big move" to look at open houses, and Joe never pressured me once about buying a home, even bringing up short-term rentals as a back-up plan. When I flew back to California, we did subsequent open houses through FaceTime, and I especially appreciated Joe's expertise in structure (from his previous life as a firefighter) and honesty about whether the home was right for me. Because I was not available to look at houses in person, Joe thoroughly accessed homes by turning on every faucet and light switch. I am very grateful to Joe for all of his expertise, and I would gladly recommend him, without any reservations, to anyone interested in purchasing a home in Cleveland. If I was interested in purchasing another home, or even, selling a home, Joe would be the first person I would call.

We were first time buyers, had no experience at all with the process, and were moving in from Arizona, so we didn’t make it easy on Joe. He went to great lengths to make sure that our buying process was smooth, simple, and fit our needs perfectly. Not only did he arrange a whirlwind tour of homes (13 in two days) to fit our schedule since we could only come into Cleveland for 1 weekend, but on the last night of that weekend he stayed up past 11pm putting together the paperwork to place an offer on our dream home (which was accepted, in large part because of this speedy submission!). In addition to this dedication, as we were unable to be physically present for any Inspections/Walkthroughs/etc., Joe offered to be our eyes and ears throughout all of these processes making multiple trips to the house, making sure that we were 100% informed of everything (sometimes even instantly through FaceTime) and then advocated on our behalf to ensure that any concerns that we had were addressed adequately. I’m certain that if we hadn’t had such a dependable and trustworthy realtor we never would have been able to complete this purchase given our distance from Cleveland and inexperience with the process. Above and beyond this, Joe made this process stress-free, straightforward, and enjoyable…and it is obvious that he genuinely cares about his clients and their families. Prior to accepting a position at a large hospital in Cleveland Joe took my wife and I around the Cleveland area to show the city and different communities. He has a personal connection to both the East and West Sides of Cleveland which was really helpful to us, having no prior links to Ohio. Joe was a great tour guide and helped us Identify communities which best fit our needs and interests. The comfort level we left our tour with, was in no small part a factor in our decision to move to the Cleveland area. Once our decision was made he was an outstanding resource for us. He is very knowledgeable about houses and could easily spot any issues with the roof, if there had been flooding damage or any safety issues. He would also be very upfront about them to us.
Joe himself is very friendly and easy to work with. We never felt any pressure from him to buy or look at a particular house. There were a few times we spent less than 10 minutes at a place since we quickly knew it was not for us, and Joe would cheerfully take us to the next house. My wife and I have been dreading the ordeal of long-distance relocation from New England to Northeast Ohio, an area neither of us has had any prior connection to. Our concerns about the relocation process were further amplified by the start of the COVID19 pandemic, which significantly complicated our ability to visit the area; house-hunting was not going to be easy.
Fortunately, we had the pleasure of meeting Mr Joseph Seifert. Even after just one in-person encounter, we were much reassured by Joe’s expertise, knowledge of the area and willingness to help by whatever means necessary. We were pleased by his clear style of communication on the one hand, but also by his kind demeanor and non-imposing rhetoric on the other hand. He was very responsive, always available to us and he never seemed to get tired of the many phone calls and incessant questions that we had. He set no limit on the number of in-person house visits he was willing to arrange for us. He managed to do all this despite the many logistical limitations that stemmed from the global viral pandemic that was raging at the time. We particularly appreciated his expertise in fire safety and HVAC systems – a knowledge that stems from his background as a retired firefighter.
After seeing close to 20 different houses (over 3 different days), with Joe’s help, we finally found a perfect home for us. Even after settling on a house to purchase, Joe was very helpful in walking us through the closing process. He also gave us a very informed, invaluable perspective on the house inspection report.

I just wanted to take a few minutes to let you know what a pleasant experience my husband and I had working with Joe Seifert.
We are completely new to the Cleveland area and needed assistance assessing communities, trying to figure out where we wanted to send our son to school, and also find a community that was equidistant between the two places I have been required to work (Main Campus and Chagrin Falls). My husband and I finally decided on Cleveland Heights. We have been in our new (old historic) home now for three weeks and couldn’t be happier with the home itself and the community. Our son will be attending St. Ignatius and starts school next week!
My job is quite hectic right now at the new Center for Functional Medicine and I’m working long hours. My husband and son were still living in suburban Detroit. We had to look at homes on the “spur of the moment” and Joe had very little time to react to our requests. But, every time he went the “extra mile,” getting us into places in the evening and on the weekends. My husband and I were both very impressed with his service and commitment to us finding real estate we could get excited about.
I would highly recommend Joe Seifert as a real estate agent for new Cleveland Clinic hires. His attention to detail and really listening to clients and their specific needs is impeccable.
Furthermore, I had to live in an apartment before we secured our home and Joe was instrumental in helping me locate an apartment that was close to Main campus, safe and secure, as I lived in Cleveland for four months alone prior to my family and I being reunited.
